WCN'25 Exploring Complement System Dynamics: C3G and IgAN

Recent data has demonstrated the critical role that the complement system plays in glomerular diseases. While in C3 glomerulopathy, the alternative pathway is mainly involved in its pathogenesis, in IgA nephropathy both the alternative and the lectin pathways have been reported as key drivers of this disease. As a result, the activation of these pathways of the complement system leads to the inflammatory process that characterizes these entities.
