ISN-KDIGO Webinar: Targeting B Cells in Glomerular Diseases

Recorded On: 06/15/2026

This webinar builds on key discussions from the 2025 KDIGO Controversies Conference on Therapies Targeting B Cells in Immune-Mediated Kidney Diseases. The session will examine the evolving understanding of B-cell biology in glomerular diseases, with a particular focus on IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and lupus nephritis. Faculty will discuss current evidence supporting B cell–targeted therapies, emerging therapeutic strategies, and future research directions aimed at improving outcomes in immune-mediated kidney diseases.

Learning objectives:

- Describe the role of B cells in the pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy (IgAN)
- Explain the contribution of B cells to the development and progression of lupus nephritis
- Evaluate emerging and investigational B cell–targeted therapies for immune-mediated kidney diseases
- Identify key gaps in knowledge and future research priorities related to B cell–directed treatment strategies in nephrology
